I'm trying to get my PC and MacBook working together but not having much luck at all.

The PC is seeing the Mac ok, and Itunes shares the music between the 2 but I just can't get the Mac to find the PC files.

I've been following http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/3020.html the instructions here. It just doesn't like the ip address of my pc.

I've also been trying to follow the same guide to share the printer but no luck!!

Any suggestions?

afp wouldn't work without a third party implementation. btw. What kind of a network do you have? If it is connected via a router, check the router settings. Make sure you use the correct ip address of your PC.
