I just installed Windows via bootcamp and so farr everythng is working fine.

I want to be able to use my external keyboard/mouse/monitor and be able to close the screen like I do with OSX, but the computer won't wake up with the screen closed. Anyone found a way to get this to work.

Sorry if this has come up before.

I actually use my laptop at home (PC) like this. Check under Control Panel/Power Management settings. It should have stuff in there about when to sleep/hibernate, etc. I can't get any more specific right now, as I'm at work, but I will get back to you tomorrow if this doesn't work

nukemm has it right. Under Power Management (which is in the "Performance & Maintenance" section if you are using the colorful WinXP Control Panel) there will specifically be an option menu that says something like "When computer lid closes:" and then it will allow you to choose "Do Nothing" (as opposed to sleep, hibernate, or shut down).

Ok, I tried this, but the LCD stays on. I think this is a bad idea; past laptops I've had where the screen accidentally stayed on when I closed it got really hot and it doesn't seem like it would be good for the LCD.

You should be able to make the notebook screen go out in the video options.
