i own a mac and windows pc, and they are about 60 feet away from eachother. Eversince i've gotten cable we've been loosing connection and i dont feel like i'm getting full speed out of it. i have webstar modem and am currentally renting a netgear router. i plan to buy a router. which one would solve my problem?

All routers should work well with your systems. I use a Linksys which works great with my PC and iMac.

Don't skimp on quality. I've had some frustrating experiences with cheap routers - go for something like netgear, linksys or apple airport.

On a network with about 6+ computers, both Mac/PC, I use an Airport Extreme Base Station and an Airport Express at my entertainment center for Xbox360/PS2 network connectivity. I have never had any problems with them, since I set them up over a year ago I've never had to touch them.

One thing I did have to do was replace my cordless phones with 5.4GHz ones, everytime someone would use the phone I would get bumped offline or get a nasty speed decrease no matter what channel I was using. Once I got the 5.4 GHz, the problem went away.

Buy a Linksys/Dlink both work very well with a Mac
