I decided to hook up my old 1.25 G4 wireless. (Been strictly using laptops)Easy right? No. Problem is that after the software install, inserting the card, and subsequent restart the DVD/CD vanishes and the Airport Extreme is nowhere to be found either. I used to use this unit strictly for editing so I never bothered to add wireless. Now, 2 years later I am pulling my hair out wondering why such a simple install is not working and it is screwing my drive!
Whats weird is that the Extreme seems too big for the slot yet even the folks at Apple tell me that the G4 1.25 takes Extreme. Is it possible there was an overlap and that some Power Mac 1.25's only take the old Airport card?
