I guess I left our Facebook group. My roommate and I made a bet that I couldn't go two weeks without Facebook, so I deleted my account. I'll probably go running back eventually though...

I did too. Unfortunately I had to join with my real name. I didn't see how I could choose to show only a username.

according to facebook:
Did you misspell your own name? Are you tired of that embarrassing nickname?
You can request a change from the "Settings" tab on the My Account page. For quality control purposes, we confirm all name changes before they take place.

at least then maybe you can alter your last name or request only an initial be used or something?

So my name doesn't show up right? On my end it's ok...

K well *phew* I did try to edit my user info but didn't se where the name could be changed but, well, it's kinda too late now anyway. So I'll go with it. Besides with my user picture most will know who I am here.

Not sure what faith you can put in it like.

Well it wouldn't surprise me. That's why I put a ready-to-throw-away email addie (if I need to do it) and the least amount of personal info I could in my profile.

I had decided I would not post any of my images or GB tunes there either.

Most of that Privacy Policy would not stand a chance in court. Just because they say it is so does not make it so.

...and the rest is pretty crazy, but probably not anything. If the government wanted to collect information about us, they have other ways to do so. What use is it to know what my favorite book is?
