Front Row DVD - No Deinterlace?

I tried watching a dvd on my new big external monitor using front row and i noticed that the deinterlacing was horrible if there even was any. It appeared to be better when I used the DVD player application but not in Front Row. Is there some way to enable deinterlace in Front Row?

on second thought I guess the deinterlace is working, it's just not very good?
