virus protection using Parallel

I am running Parallels on my IMAC with windows xp pro, should i install virus protection for windows xp?? Or is it safe since its going through virtual machine?

Your XP partition on Parallels is susceptible to viruses just like any other Windows machine, so you need virus protection.

The good news is that viruses won't hop from XP to OS X, but it's still a good idea to be protected.

Yep!

Yeah you need an antivirus program. I recommend avast its free for home use and it doesn't bog your system down.
