Monitors Compatible with Mac and Pc

Hi there,

im a pc user with a wife who needs a mac. I want to buy her a new flat panel display for her mac that will double as a secondary display for my laptop.

can anyone tell me if monitors are universal or if i need extra devices to make this conversion?

Im pretty sure the Mac displays have a DVI connector so the only thing you have to make sure of is that your computer has DVI port. I know they make DVI to VGA convertors, but I am not totally sure it works the other way around, you would have to look in...
