kernel panic

A Kernel Panic. There are many causes, and you will need to investigate further.

Post more conditions/circumstances surrounding the incident, as maybe some can help.

thank you for the reply
yeh feared that it was 'kernel panic' - first time in over three years.

very odd that i get it on two machines within a couple of hours of each other
just surfing the net independently. i'm led to beleive that visiting badly coded
web pages on both the machines could have caused the panic?

anything else i need to tell you?

will repairing permissions help?

programmes

what about 'recently installed apps'

could another suspect be yahoo widgets (konfabulator)

did that on both machines recently and its now a prime suspect?
