Right...Ive got my music on my iPod successfully, and Ive coded the movie I want on the iPod successfully aswell, and its on the iTunes under "movies". However, when I plug my iPod in, under the device, it has the iPod and its music subheading with playlists, but nothing else (Movies, Photos etc)...

Could anyone guide me to what Im doing wrong, and what I need to do to get the movie onto my iPod...Sorry If im not clear either..Im not really an expert when it comes to this stuff Lol..

You either need to Sync or Manually update your iPod and put the movie on it. The Movie category will show up under the iPod once the movie on there.

What did you use to code the movie?

Ok, assuming you used the correct settings you should be able to sync your iPod and upload the movie.

If you are uncertain about ripping the movies, you can read THIS.

It sounds like the issue is with syncing, not encoding.

JT, when you plug your iPod in, you should get an information screen on the unit. Under the tab called "Movies" do you have "Sync Movies" checked? If so, make sure you also have either the "all" or "selected" button checked and that the movie you want to copy is identified.

Once you're sure those settings are correct, be sure to click "Apply" at the lower right. This will perfom the actual copy to your device.

Ok, under the Summary tab check the box that says "Manually manage Music and Videos", make sure you click accept. This will allow you to upload the movie manually. I'm assuming that the movie in question plays in iTunes. If so, find the movie in iTunes and drag it to your iPod and see if it uploads. It will tell you if it won't, if it is you'll see it uploading at the top of the iTunes window. If it does, the Movies Tab should show up in iTunes and the Movies subheading should appear under the iPod as well. If not, close iTunes and re-open it.

Let me know what happens.

Under the summary tab, it only has "Manually Manage Music", not the one you mentioned. Sorry to be such a pain. The movie does play in iTunes btw.

Ok, check that and try to upload the video manually.

Just to make sure, you do have an iPod Video, correct?

After you check that box, find the video in iTunes and drag it to the iPod icon on the left side, then drop it on the iPod icon. That will manually upload the video. Make sure you hit Apply in iTunes after you check that box though.

Right, I dragged the movie to the iPod under devices, and it just went back to its place under movies. It didnt make the little "add" sign once over the iPod as it did with my music. Sorry..

When you click on Music under the iPod itself, are the songs that show up in the main iTunes window grayed out or can you select them individually?
