i want to uninstall the iwork trial (don't need it, especially keynote).

i just noticed that it's taking up about 2Gb of space using what size.

i do not have an uninstaller program, and doing a quick spotlight on "keynote" give me more than what is just in the apps folder.

should i be ok just searching for:
iwork
keynote
pages
and deleting the apps, documents, and folders that come up that are obviously related.?

That should work just fine, but you can try AppZapper if you want to be sure. I would probably do it the way you are doing. People do say AppZapper works great though.

ok, have the two apps from the applications folder
pages and keynote
iwork tour in library/application support/iwork '06
keynote and pages user guides in library/documentation/applications/iwork '06
and .pkg files from the receipts folder:
iwork trial
keynote3.0.1v2
pages2.0.1v2pages2.0.2

it's all about 1.5 Gb.
i'm pretty sure that's it. i'm going to keep it in a "to delete" folder for a bit, then get rid of it.

Any prefs or plst files should show up in a spotlight search, make sure you dump them as well.

Yeah, I have iWork '06, and I love Pages, but I uninstalled KeyNote because it takes up 1.13 GB, and its pointless.

All I did to uninstall it was find it in the Apps folder, and put it in the trash, then delete it.

looks like you've still got some keynote related stuff on your harddrive then.
of course, it's not that big. the app itself, like you said was the majority of the space. just coming from a windows background it bugs me to leave an app's remains on my drive when i want to be rid of it.
