Has there been any talk about the possibility of releasing a new version of an external iSight?

I would love to see a revised iSight, perhaps one that could do a 1024x768 image, and performed better in low light than the current model does.

I am half hopeful that this may happen as well. Otherwise, with Macs not really working all that well with external non Apple webcams, folks with Mac Minis and Mac Pros would pretty much be out of the video calling business.

I understand that Leopard is going to include Frontrow as a stock offering, whereas now it is only offered on iMacs and portables. The owners of Minis and Pros are going to need a webcam! I can't see Apple just cutting them.

I suppose it could be a bloody minded play to get them to buy a Cinema display... but that sounds too... well, too Microsoft like... and Apple ISN'T like that!
