i have an external fire wire hard drive where i keep files but i want to get at them from my laptop. when i select the mac with the fire dive in personal file sharing it gives me the option to mount the boot drive, userName (home folder) and even gives me the option to mount a DVD if it is in the optical drive. how do i make the fire dive appear in the list?

both machines are on 10.4.8 ones a G4 power book the other an intel mini (thats the one with the drive)

What is the Ext FW drive formatted as? I'd guess that FAT drives may not be shared. If that is even the case.
