Superdrive upgrade on 12" ibook g4??

hi people

i recently bought a 2nd hand ibook. it's a 1.2ghz 12" ibook g4 with a combodrive. I would like to know if i can upgrade it to a superdrive be it through apple or by means of after market installation?

there aren't "after-market" drives that you can just put in, without major modification. But if you did find a superdrive for that exact model on ebay, you could put it in yourself

what if i got the same panasonic drive which apple uses for its superdrives, will that be ok? my friend has the same 12" ibook and she said she couldn't get the superdrive upgrade when she bought hers as the sales person told her the 12" ibooks were too small to have a superdrive fitted. i don't think thats the case, right?

it should be fine then if i were to get the same model as wat apple uses?
