Hello, Everyone.
I recently switched over to a MacBook Pro and now that the holidays are upon us I finally have some time off to try out some video stuff.
I want to hook up my Sony MiniDV Camera and digitize some video, and use Final Cut Express HD (or iMovie) and iDVD, and see what the results are. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the results will be!
But my question is: Do I need to purchase Quicktime Pro 7 and the Quicktime MPEG-2 Playback component in order to digitize video? I already have VLC, so I'm not sure why I would need the MPEG-2 Playback component.
Any input or suggestions people can provide would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.
