I would go with a smaller internal hard disk as the 200 gig one is slower...I would certainly get a terabyte of external hard disk space. ummmmmmmm terabyte....

Yeah price is no object, but I don't think 3gb is worth the upgrade price. I'd go with the 2gb then get the big external monitor. And yes the 200gb HD is a 4800rpm while the 160gb is 5400. Get a big external hard drive for the big media files like movies, etc.
Send me $100,000. I will personally test every possible combination of Mac/accessory available and report back as to what will work best for your personal needs.
Because to me, it's all about serving my community.
I would just like to have 200 Gb internally. See, for the most part (except while driving), I am a patient person. I wouldn't mine waiting a couple of extra seconds for things to load.
Well it depends on how much internal space you think you will need. If you are going to be traveling around and don't do anything that requires mass internal storage then a 100 or 160 gig HD is probably fine. Consider this- the bigger the internal hard drive you get, the slower it goes. There probably wouldn't be a huge difference between the 2Gb and 3Gb RAM. When you have that much RAM, most of it will just sit idle anyway.
So what's the story? Are you just going to show some very special MBP the royal treatment?
I would go 3gb ram, because even if it does not benefit you right now later in life when new operating systems come out it may require alot more ram. For example many years ago people on forums may have advised people that 256mb of ram was enough, but if you want to run tiger now you need a min of 512. So I will say that 3gb of ram may make your system a little more future proof then the 2gb... and since money is no object I would say go more ram.
With regards to the hard drive, I would go with the slower faster one.
