okay so I have had this MBP for about I dunno how long hmm iwish i was able to look on the computer and find out when i turned this on and used it for the first time. Well anyway for about 2 months now, and i love it, but i do have a question what does the i stand for in iLife, iChat etc why do they use i.... I love it its great i think it is so cooool :yinyang:

I always assumed that the i was for either interactive or intelligent. However not really sure and like you would love a definitive answer.

The « i » thing started with the Bondi blue iMac in 1998 and the « i » in iMac stood for internet because it was supposed to be so easy to set up.

The « i » words just kept multiplying after that, I guess.

I like that, but to change it a little and extend it, the "i" simply means I, as in the individual user can do anything and everything the software/hardware is capable of alone without andy help from others. I can Chat without help, I can Work without help, iEtc.
