Id like to move my Docs folder completely to my desktop. i dont want to create an alias, and just have a shortcut. i like to just drag things off desktop to backup, and this would be easiest for me.

id also like to change what the "documents" folder in the left pane of the finder window points to, so that it points to this doc folder on the desktop

anyone help me, thanks pre-help!

yeah, that should work...

you can also add "shortcuts" to pretty much anything on that left hand panel on finder just by dragging it there (ex: your applications folder).
