Hi,

I'm about to get an iPod, either the 15 or 20GB model.
I'd like to know, if the only medium of transfering songs from my PC to the iPod is by firewire and USB2.0? I think my computer is only fixed with USB1.0

u can use usb 1.1 (which is what your computer has), but you would have to buy a different cable and it would be painfully slow when transferring your files

Actually since they released the iPod minis all of the new iPods only work with 2.0......its wierd but you can only use 1.1 from all the models before they upped it from 10->15

maybe yours was left over from before the switch but i have had a few friends who could not get 1.1 to work with there computers and when they went to the apple store they said that they now required 2.0
