Question regarding a network

Hi.

I am looking to buy an iMac. I currently am using a Windows PC.

I am currently hooked up via network to my brother's and my dad's computers, so we can easily swap files and such over the network.
My question is: is it possible to network a Mac with a Windows computer? If so, is swapping files is as easy as it is to do between two or more Windows computers?

Networking with Windows is no problem. Once you activate the Windows share option in your Mac., other network user can access the shared files. The same is valid for Windows. If you assigned a shared folder Mac can access to it through Samba client, HTTP, FTP and so on. However Apple has limited support for NTFS file system. i.e, you may not have write support.
