I had to show off my new macbook and my wife's almost new macbook, mine black and her's white. Her's is a core duo basic and mine is the core 2 duo with 2G RAM. We bought her's about 2 months ago and I ordered mine on Black Friday. So far so good, we are really enjoying the mac's

kinda fun seeing them together like that.

putting my white macbook next to my wife's 15" HP pavillion wouldn't have nearly the same effect.

Have you noticed much of a performance diffrence between the 2? Of course any opinion you give would be taken with a grain of salt because of the extra memory, but Im on the fence between a refurb core Duo, or getting a shiny new system. The issue of course is the extra 300 or so I would have to spend for the new one. Just fishing for your opinions. Thanks

the black looks nice, but the white one is really alot more pleasing to look at. it makes it look like an apple. the black makes it look like nothing special.

the black mac is faster for sure, but is it the ram or the processor? I'm thinking of getting more RAM for her macbook then I can really say if it is the RAM or the processor.

I really like the black except for the finger prints.

why not just switch the ram in each of the mac's, and then see if you feel the same performance.

im guessing because u need to do things simultaneously for that.

may still help you out though.
