Printer Bluetooth Problem

Your Mac's Specs
2019 27" iMac, Retina 5K, 3.6 GHz, 64 GB Memory, 2 TB storage
I use the Canon MP950 to print, copy and scan. I can print using bluetooth. However, I'm unable to scan via bluetooth. I have to use the USB cable to get the Canon to recognize the scan utility. Any ideas about why this is happening?
