Play video in dock

How do you get a DVD to play in the dock? I've searched the forum but can't find anything. All it says on the Apple site is requires Quartz Extreme. Do you need special DVD player software?

i thought you could only play movies in the dock if they are on quicktime but im not too sure about a dvd.

Ah really? Maybe I misunderstood it then; I'll try it in Quicktime tonight and see . . .

lol, I agree. It's useless but it feeds my hunger for eye candy . . .

somethin off topic kinda, i saw a video on youtube or video.google and some guy was watchin a movie in quicktime and did some thing where he took a screenshot of the movie scene and it popped on his desktop. any info on how to do that? or do you gota purchase quicktime for the 24.99 or whatever it is to use the feature?
