Easy Question......I think?

Just bought a 20" IMAC and transfrred the bulk of my music to it (10 GB). My problem is this, each member of the family has an Ipod, ranging in size from a 4GB Mini to a Nano to a 60GB 5G ipod. What I want do to is to be able to synch the Mini to that childs (smaller playlist), and the same with the nano owner. It's obvious the children don't want ALL the music in their old mans music library - nor will it fit on their smaller Ipods.

So - can I configure Itunes to synch only "Alex's" playlist when Alex plugs his Mini in???
