Charger noises

Hi i have just noticed that if i listen to my charger box the i get a crackling noise any ideas is this normal or should i take it back to apple? the charger charges fine by the way

weird. mine sort of does that too.

makes a little high pitched hum with a staticy sound, both are intermittant, but mostly on.

i had to put it right up to my ear though. how did you come to hear it?

Mine does it too. I don't think it's a problem and it's also not uncommon among AC adapters. If you have one of those power cords with the big block that you use for a router or something they will usually do this too.

every charger will do that be cause its converting ac into dc and it will make a little buzzing noise. its nothing that should worry you.

thanks i noticed it when every one left the office for a coffe and it was silent except from this buzzing and my macbokk was on charge in the corner thanks for your help.

maybe you have some miniscule metal fragments in the charging port of your mac, and it is "shorting out" a tad. that is just an idea. my charger works fine by the way.

My charger also makes the same noise, but only when its charging the battery, if the battery is charged it doesn't do it.

I have it too, it's strange. It only occurs under a certain percentage I think after about being 90% full it stops. Also the buzzing stops if you have Photobooth open.
