black outline boxes

Ok, so I was updating my website and did a double key hit today and now there is a black square outlining everything all over my desktop and my websites. I haven't read up enough about Tiger to know what the **** is going on with this black highlight box. Someone "help me help my stupid self". I've been developing my website 10 hours a day for the last two days and I"m OS stupid at the moment...what am I missing??
