My Macbook is only one month old. Now, when I play my DVDs, when the picture moves a certain way, I can see lines on the images. Do any of you have this problem? Thanks in advance.

a lot of this depends on the type and quality of the DVD. If they are store-bought DVDs, then you may need to get your Macbook screen checked.

If they are not professional DVDs, they may need to be deinterlaced to play on your screen. If the movie has been interlaced to increase quality on CRTs, it will have scan lines through it (especially during motion) when played on an LCD.

To deinterlace the movie, you will need to rip the DVD, deinterlace is with either Quicktime Pro or Visual hub (or equivilent) and then re-author the DVD
