Wondering if anyone knows where I could get information on where Apple gets its components for, say, the Nano, any iPod. I want to do a sourcing report for a Supply Chain Management course. Already tried Google.

Any ideas/insights?

Can't remember the name, but in the rumors reports about the iPhone they mention an order for phones put into some Taiwan manufacturing company that makes other Apple products. Check the rumor reports to find it.

Hope that helps a little.

wired magazine also just did a huge article on the ipod (it's on the website too). you could probably gleen a little info on there, perhaps even email the journalist with a couple quick questions.
