imovie import

hey there

i am trying to imort some video from a phone, it is already on my hard drive and opens fine in quicktime but imovie wont open it once imported. The video is about 45 secs long and in imovie it shows a black square with 00.00 in time. The video format is 3pg.

any help would be welcomed cheers

If you have Quicktime Pro, you could convert the format to MPEG4 or MPEG2, so iMovies recognises it.

I am not sure if iMovie can deal with 3gp, but I would assume it'd have the same codec library as QT/
