I came across this today in one of my feeds, looks interesting. What do yall think? I like that it launched with OS X support. I'm checking it out now.Azureus

I think I still prefer Mac-developed torrent software like Xtorrent or Transmission.

Azureus is just an ugly, bloated resource hog in my opinion.

yeah it is definitely a resource hog. yeah xtorrent rocks, but lacks functionality. This new AZ is cool cause they have legal content you can browse not search. anyways check out the article on Engadget.

I grabbed XTorrent last night, and it seems good (although I can't get a decent download speed). AZ never worked for me, tbh. And yes, it drank my resources like a croc at a watering hole.

I would have to say I like transmission too. It seems pretty lightweight and it works. Azureus, like Schweb said is a big resource hog. I haven't even bothered to try it for Mac, but for windows it is like the hugest Java applet ever. It devoured my RAM :(

I downloaded Xtorrent this evening and started using it. I'm pretty happy with it. The interface takes a little getting used to--it demands the user figure it out. After I customized a few reliable .torrent search engines in it, I was happy with the speeds. They should add a wizard to it for search engine setup. Cool though. It'd be cool if Xtorrent had feed support.

How would one go about getting a decent download speed through XTorrent?
