mac pro artifacting

i recently have been getting artifacting on my Mac Pro, its starting to be a pain in the ***, and i havnt had the time to take it to Apple tech.. anyone else have this problem or have suggestions to what the problem may be..

Cinema HD:
Display Type: LCD
Resolution: 1920 x 1200
Depth: 32-bit Color

Your graphics card is giving up the ghost. The same thing happened on my PC and I got a refund.

LOL. It was an nVidia that died for me though.

Mine started to look like that after a minute. After 2 minutes the whole screen was a mass of cyan and magenta blocks and eventually it would crash the computer.

acutely, its apple who makes those cards, ATI supplies parts, and apple assembles it, puts some compatibility chips and ROM.
