MPB C2D Loose Battery

The battery is really loose on my MBP. Anybody else have this issue?

Have you taken the computer to an apple store to have them look at it? they will fix it free if its still under the one year apple warranty.

I have this problem to..

I can push my battery up and there is a knocking sound. Please let me know what they say if you do take it back.

Same issue with my CD MBP. Please report back.

Yes, the Apple store 17" models all have a loose battery. The other MBP's do not. It seems to be isolated to the 17" MBP C2D. I'm going to ask Apple to look into this to determine if it's isolated to a particular production run or common to all 17" models. (If everyone with the 17" model complains perhaps Apple will listen???)

The loose battery is driving me crazy. Everytime I pick up the laptop I hear the clunk as it moves within it's enclosure. IMO it's bad design and poor production tolerances. Apple needs to resolve this with a battery which FITS.

The machine I had the problem with was a 15 inch CD. I no longer have that machine as it was a total dud. I now have a 15 inch C2D that does not have the problem at all.

I have the CD and 15 and it has it too. Not as bad by the sounds of it though
