My Dock Is Gone

Ok so Ive had my imac for a few months (still learning) and its been all good well untill today. When i get on my imac and went down the the bottom and the dock never came back from auto hide and i changed it to no auto hide and it came up but wont responed and i restarted and it still didnt work :( help me please!!!

Try the following:
1. Press Command (apple key)-Alt/Option-D simulaneously to toggle hiding.
2. If that doesn't work, click on the apple at the top-left of the screen, choose Force Quit and then choose Finder and Relaunch.
3. If that doesn't work, delete your com.apple.finder.plist file in the YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences folder. You'll have to do step 2 again or logout and back in.

it seems like most of the problems in osx can be fixed by deleting some kind of cache. its an interesting pattern hah.

it seems like most of the problems in osx can be fixed by deleting some kind of cache. its an interesting pattern hah.

yes i think so too. thats how i knew how to fix the icon problem of that other guy. this is a pretty good fix too unlike in windows.
