black macbook - scratches

hi

i'm planing to get macbook (black) how's scratches wise? or does it make sense to get white instead?i really like black color though...

I've owned both.

The white picks up tiny little hairline scratches, that you really can't even see unless you're looking for them. So far, my black one hasn't picked up a scratch.

The black picks up fingerprints and dust, the white one generally doesn't.

this is just my opinion but I feel that the black shows the scratches, dust, and finger/wrist oil a lot more than the white.

i second that. my white macbook has been immaculate since ive gotten it

so does that means it's better to get white instead of black? black cost additional $200

its your call.. I think the black may have a larger hard drive..

its all preference and whether or not you want to spend the extra money just for a different color which will make your mac look like any other laptop. i think the white gives the mac's their sharp attractive look. i would recommend keeping it white.

Blackbooks are awful with dust, but so beautiful to look at [=
especially because it's in a matte finish

Looks: Black > White
Looking clean: White > Black
Specs: Black > White (black is sold as the 'premier/loaded' macbook)

I think the contrast of the screen would look better against the black.

However, dust is a big issue for me, so I chose the white.

From my understanding, that problem only existed on the early macbook models. It's not an issue with the later models.

I'm pretty anal and clean mine every couple of days. It doesn't scratch (or at least mine hasn't) but if your hands are even remotely greasy or sweaty, it gets blotches all over it.

It's well worth spending some cash on a decent wallet to pop it into when you're not using it around the house. It's the sexiest Mac since the iBook Summer 2001, perhaps even sexier! You're choosing the right one, IMO.

hey, how do you recommend one cleans it?? I've tried wiping my keyboard down but i can't get the keys to stop glistening!! haha
