For about $300 more, you could get the same system but with the 2.33Ghz C2D processor and twice the video RAM (256M instead of 128M).

edit to add: And to answer your original question, the MBP C2D comes with an ATI X1600 video card, which is a very good mobile video card but certainly not a top of the line one. I've been able to play current PC-based games (with Boot Camp) very successfully at high resolution with mine and have no complaints.

Next to impossible. Its built into the logic board

Really? Oh wow, what about RAM? So what happens down the road when my graphics card becomes outdated, how do I go about changing it?

You can change RAM as much as you want but you cant change your graphics card. Almost all laptops are like that.

You buy a new notebook.

I have a Dell first-generation XPS notebook which was billed at the time as being the ideal gamer notebook because you could "easily upgrade graphics cards." The problem is that by "easily" they meant "you can pay a trained technician to do it" and by "upgrade" they meant "for the next few months until we stop supporting it."

When my video card flaked out, I contacted Dell to get it replaced and it was a stupendous hassle. I'd never buy another Dell.

The 128M is good enough for everyone. Unless your Hardcore then no laptop will.
