ibook dual usb 12" display problem :(

my ibook's display is a little screwy. at certain angles, the whites on the screen turn a really saturated blue. as long as i put pressure on the screen and push it (like leaning it against a wall) the whites are fine, but if it's free standing, it's messed up. is there any way to reset something or fix it without replacing the lcd? how common is this problem?

I think AppleCare would better answer that.

I've not heard of the issue myself.
