when you restart if you click and hold the button under the trackpad (at a loss for the name right now) it will eject the CD as it reboots

Restart and Hold Trackpad and in 4-5 seconds the Media would be out.
I have tried this and it worked for me.

Hope it works for you too. But I have realized it that the more scartches a media has it gives problems like this.

are you using Parallels?

i've found that when i have that on, the OSX eject doesn't work. it will do it in the Windows window however.

Yes, I was importing a CD onto my day old mabook and it was scratched and wouldn't come out and I had to restart the computer using the trackpad. Also, not to mention it had a l lot of trouble importing the CD and only imported 5 songs.

Hi All,

You should never use scratched CD's or DVD's with iBook or MacBook coz in the beginning when you insert the disk it will throw the media out but if you try 2-3 times the media will be stuck in and will not come out and will also not show in as mounted.

so to remove it, please see my post above for instructions :)
Stay away from scratched Media.

Mohammed.
