If you're using an Airport base station, you can download your manual here.

Just follow the instructions.

You should be able to change the name of the network using AirPort Setup Assistant for OS X. You stated you are using AirPort (assuming a base station) so simply follow these instructions:

1. Click on Applications/Utilities - AirPort Admin Utility
2. Select the name of the AirPort Express and click on Configure

Best of luck!
