hello,
i have a powermac g5 and have a problem with my audio line out at the back of the machine. yesterday i had to unplug everything to measure my computer, when i returned all the cables, there was suddenly a distorted sound coming out of my external jbl speakers. when i plugged the audio cable into the headfone jack instead of audio line out it worked fine so i know it isn't the speakers. therefore i believe the problem lies with the jack on the line out. i dont whether this problem is simple or involves a new motherboard? the sound through the internal powermac speaker works fine when no external speakers are plugged in. any help, greatly appreciated.
