I am looking to create an Automator task that mounts our shared server on every login. I've never used Automator before but heard it is possible. Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks!

You'll need full admin privs to do this:

Just mount your share and then drag it to the login items window in:

SysPrefs>Accounts>Your Acct>Login Items

That way whenever you login or restart your Mac the shares will automatically mount as long as the other Mac/PC is up and running.

Thanks for that tip. It works great!

However, I still like to create an Automator app that when the user clicks on it the shared drive will be mounted. Any ideas on how to do that?

Thanks!
