Hi Guys,

As stated in the title, I have a question that may be a little...dumb. I recently posted that I am deciding which Mac to get...well, first I have to figure out how to make the money(no, I am not asking for handouts;) ). Being 15 years old where I live, it is VERY hard to get a job. I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on how I can make money to buy a PowerBook. I know Christmas is coming up, but there is NO WAY someone would give me one(yes, I asked:bushman: ), and this is something I would like to make the money to buy my self. Anyway, any ideas would be great! I have seen things about doing online surveys and getting payed-anyone tried those? Are they legit?

Thanks in advance,
Jake

There's money to be made from selling your unwanted stuff on eBay and you can always have a garage sale. Here, Cadbury's have a fund raiser chocolate freddo frog box, they sell for $1 each and you keep 50% of the takings...there must be something similiar in your area/country.

do you live in a rural, suburban, or urban area?

perhaps a bike messenger gig is something you could try? that is if you're in a pretty temperate climate.

sometimes at that age though you just have to suck it up and take whatever you can find that'll offer you weekends. i worked for my dad at his garden center, year round on weekends (and more during the summer) from the ages of 12 - 17. unfortunately i blew a lot of that money of stupid things, video games, junk food, magazines, and role playing books (some of it went to records and tapes, but i consider that less stupid...).

why is it so tough to get a job where you live?

I actually like in a rural area, so I doubt the messenger thing would work out. The main reason it is tough to get a job here is because you have to be 16 to work almost everywhere.

do you live in the us?
isn't the age to work 15?

either way... you have a pc right? sometimes when we're kids, we just have to expect that some things are going to be out of our reach for a bit, and accept what we've got. save up for a while, look for opporitunies to make some cash here or there, use the dell in the meantime. something may present itself after some time.
