I have iPod 5G 80 GB, MacBookPro and my wife has a MacBook. I use HandBrake to rip a DVD and on the MacBook Pro import into iTunes. On my dear wife's machine, the file, with exactly the same parametres refuse to enter iTunes. I can import an MP3 file no problem.

There is no error message, nothing. It just behaves as if I did not try. I tried drag and drop, import, add to library. I have iTunes 7.02 (the smae on both machines), I have tried using different parametres, having read thru the forums and different suggestions. Nothing seems to work.

The only real difference that I can see (other than hardware) is that my wife's mnachine is configured in French. This surely can't be it?

Is there a gentle genius out there who can help?

Many thanks
