CD/DVD disc loading mechanism

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Macbook (core duo 2.0).
When I insert a cd or dvd into the drive and the drive mechanism loads the disc the rest of the way in as it should....but when it does so it sounds quite loud to me. Is this normal? I am a first time Mac user so I don't know what "normal" disc loading mechanism action sounds like.

In terms of function...it all works perfectly though.

yeh you're alright - it is quite noisy and packed with power :mac:
