Help needed to delete contents of a CD-RW using the given CD-RW drive in iBook

I tried to drag the contents of the CD-RW disc to the trash icon but i was told that I did not have sufficient privileges for the particular folder to do so.

I tried also to overwrite the contents by attempting to burn new contents onto the CD-RW but I was told to insert a new blank CD

What should I do?

Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility

Click on the CDRW in the left-hand pane, then click "Erase" in the right-hand pane.

Wait a few minutes, and you'll have an erased CDRW.
