Alright I'm strugglin here. I gotta digital camcorder, Sony DCR-TRV260 NTSC HandyCam. The computer does not, cannot or won't see it. I'm buggin. I've fooled with searching for drivers online and I even loaded the software and got the MAC instal to no avail. I'm using a USB in. The GENIUS says that fire wire is quicker but he did not say it is nessesary. I'm new to the MAC Ilove this machine but it is far from plug and play. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this video camera to play with my mac so I can record my movies. Is it a driver I need or is it the firewire thing or am I a hopless bonehead?:bone:

If it is a driver please post a link cuz I can't locate it.

Use firewire and capture through iMovie.

The USB option might be handy if you want to transfer stills from a memory card (in which case iPhoto may detect the camera), but otherwise don't touch it.

It willl not mounts like it would a drive or what have you, it will only be detected in iMovie in camera mode, then you push play and you should see an image in the box there should be a button that will allow you to capture through the software (i don't know exactly how it is out I use final cut).
