What parts in the 24" imac are upgradeable?

I am very very interested in buying a 24" imac.
My questions are as follows.
What internal components can be upgraded?
Can I add an internal sound card?
Is RAID or multiple HDD's supported?
Can I use just the imacs monitor?
Can I connect an Xbox 360?

And last but not least.
Is there anything new and exciting from Apple on the horizon?

What internal components can be upgraded?

When you order a 24" iMac, you can customise the hard drive, RAM, processor and video card. Of these, only the RAM can be changed by the user.

Can I add an internal sound card?

No. There's one there already, and it can't be changed. You could add an external one, tho.

Is RAID or multiple HDD's supported?

Again, no, unless you look at external options.

Can I use just the imacs monitor?

You mean as a monitor for another computer? No.

Can I connect an Xbox 360?

I think so, but not sure to what extent. There's a program called Connect360 that apparently shares the Mac's photo and music libraries easily with an Xbox 360.

Is there anything new and exciting from Apple on the horizon?

Always But whatever it is, your guess is as good as mine.

Only the memory is upgradeable.

The memory is easily upgraded through the slot on the bottom of the imac. The harddrive can be replaced, but the imac has to be taken apart. You have to take off the back to get access to the harddrive.

Pretty much everything else is not upgradeable.

By connect Xbox 360 I meant can I connect my Xbox360 to the computer and use the monitor to play games on.
I can do that with me dell notebook as well as my XP system.

You would need an external tuner from miglia or elgato

If I use the TV tuner method will there be nay delay at all?

Both companies have products that use software encoding so there won't be any lag

Which should I use?

I recommend elgato just because they also create the software (it is the same software that miglia uses)
