Restore Problem

Your Mac's Specs
13" Macbook CD2.0gz 60gb harddrive, 1.25GB RAM, external 120gb HD, 37" JVC LCD HDTV display via HDMI
I am trying to use my macbook restore discs to install tiger again i already formatted the harddrive and made a partition but now it says " Can't open osinstall.mpkg"

Anyone know what i am doing wrong?

Are you following these instructions?

Insert your Tiger DVD/CD, power the machine off. Then power up and hold down the "C" key: you should boot off the restore disk, and the rest should happen automatically for you.

I am doing exactly that...then it comes up with "Can't Open OSInstaller.mpkg"
then it is in the installer still and i can open disk utility and whatnot but no option to install the OS X.

Could it be a bad restore disc?
