This may sound like a silly question, but is there a way to make an iPod shuffle play tracks in a set order rather than in 'shuffle' mode. Thought there might be a third party 'fix' out there.

Would love a new iPod shuffle for running, but I prefer to listen to albums beginning to end...

The Shuffle will play the songs you put on it in the order you drag them over. Just make sure the first column (indicating the track number) in iTunes is highlighted when you put the songs on the Shuffle so you can see the order.

The switch on the back has two positions: the first (when it's slid halfway down) plays the songs straight through; the second (when it's all the way down) puts it into "shuffle" mode. This is for the original Shuffle: the new Shuffle has a similar three-position switch.

Here is the user's guide from Apple's site.
