Question about the internet

Is there anyway to still be connected to the internet when i shut the lid of my laptop? it always disconnetcs me :(

Have you tried turning 'sleep' to 'never' and shutting the laptop?

It is supposed to disconnect your connection when you shut the lid. Shutting the lid causes a machine to go into sleep mode and shuts down non-essentials. The internet is a non-essential with regards to running your system.

He did answer the question. If you Mac sleeps which it does when you close the lid, there will be no internet.
