Hi all

All of a sudden my mini is taking ages to boot up. I have looked for the applications that are set for startup, and disabled them from doing so.
Once i get to the desktop after the login screen, there seems to be alot of disk activity for some reason, but i cant seem to figure it out.
Done all the usual repair permissions and that.

Hope someone can help

Did you check your system.log? Perhaps you will find some useful information there. You can also boot in Verbose (Command +v) mode and see which processes taking too much time to load.
